Sporadic Signs of China Opening Up
Signs suggesting China is ready to open up:
China recently reduced the inbound quarantine requirement from 14+7 to 7+3.
Hong Kong removed the hotel quarantine requirement altogether, with a full opening on the way. This was likely approved by Beijing.
Macau announced that it’s open for business – to Chinese tourist groups that is. The Las Vegas of China could not have done this without China central government support.
The Formula 1 Race returns to China April 2023, after three years of absence.
The 2021 Summer University Games will be held in Chengdu in July-August 2023. Time travel.
The city of Beijing announced the re-opening of all entertainment venues.
