What is Daily Reflection on China?

A research publication to help you make better, more informed investment decisions. It offers local insights, timely updates, long-term thinking and actionable ideas (NO INVESTMENT ADVICE). Here is a detailed account of why we are doing this.

What are the different sections?

• News & Hot Topics: Curated local financial news and local investor views from China. Stuff that you don’t normally get in the West.

Who writes Daily Reflection on China?

What are the different subscription plans?

• Free: $0 per month

• Monthly Paid: $30 per month

• Annual Paid: $250 per year

We recommend the annual plan, which offers 30% discount to the monthly subscription.

What does the free plan provide?

• Access to all media interviews

• Occasional free posts in News & Hot Topics, Weekly Thoughts and Big Picture

• No or limited access to podcasts and webinars

What does the paid plan offer?

Unlimited access to everything including full archives. All paid subscribers are “members” who join our community, exchange comments and share ideas.

Is there a difference between the monthly and annual paid plans in terms of the content?

No. The monthly and annual paid subscribers have the same access to everything.

Can I cancel the monthly plan?

Yes. You can cancel the subscription in your Substack settings. Detailed instructions can be found here. Once cancelled, the paid subscription will terminate after the current month-end.

Can I cancel the annual plan?

Do you offer any free trials?

There is a 7-day free trial for new subscribers from time to time.

Do you offer any complimentary paid subscriptions?

How can I tell which posts are free and which ones are not?

The paid-subscriber only posts have a small lock sign right below the subtitle. Otherwise, the post is free and open to the public.

Yes, absolutely. When you sign up for Daily Reflection on China, we ask you to enter your email address. And that’s it.

Your email information is 100% safe with us. It will only be used for sending the latest posts. There will be no third-party marketing or other unrelated stuff from us. You can view our Data Privacy Policy here.
